Francesco Monti
Francesco Monti is an independent filmmaker, horror journalist, and the founder of Gore Culture, a horror news publication covering the latest in horror films, television, games, and genre entertainment. Through Gore Culture, Monti has established a growing platform dedicated to celebrating both major studio releases and independent horror cinema. Monti made his feature directorial debut with the psychological found-footage horror film Project Paranoia, which secured worldwide distribution and introduced audiences to his immersive, tension-driven style of filmmaking. He has since continued expanding his slate with the upcoming feature films Meosha and Blood. Currently in development, Blood is Monti's most ambitious project to date. The meta-horror slasher follows two close friends attempting to make a low-budget horror film whose collaboration descends into obsession, madness, and murder as the line between filmmaking and reality begins to disappear. Monti serves as the film's director, writer, producer, and executive producer, with acclaimed filmmaker Spyder Dobrofsky (Teardrop, Down Below, The Weeping) also attached as executive producer alongside Jason Renaldy and Torin Penwell. The film features a cast that includes Van McInish (Avengers: Infinity War), Marty Glynn (Shelby Oaks), Chris Driver, Molly Dakota, Holly Dominique, Stephanie Knirk, Nicolas Teixeira, Kevin Hagler, Jason Barnes, and David K. Moore. As both a filmmaker and horror journalist, Francesco Monti continues to develop original genre films while building Gore Culture into a destination for horror fans around the world.
